Disclosures
Everything you should know about who we are, what we don't do, and how we get paid — consolidated in one place.
Not affiliated with the government
MyFederalFuture is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. government, the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), or any government agency. We are a private company. Nobody here works for the government, and we do not speak for it.
This site is not a government website. Nothing on it should be read as an official communication, and no content here has been reviewed or approved by any government body.
Educational purposes only
All content on this site is provided for general educational purposes. It describes how the TSP's options work in broad terms, for a general audience of federal employees. It is not tailored to you, it does not take account of your circumstances, and it should not be relied on as though it were.
Official rules, current figures, and the forms themselves live at tsp.gov and, for pension and retirement processing, with OPM. Those are the authoritative sources. Where anything on this site conflicts with them, they are correct and we are not.
Not licensed. No advice. No products.
MyFederalFuture is an educational and marketing company. We are not a licensed insurance producer, not a broker-dealer, and not a registered investment adviser.
We do not provide financial, tax, legal, investment, or insurance advice. We do not sell financial products — there is nothing to buy on this site. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, move, or retain any asset, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation of any kind.
We will not tell you what to do with your TSP. Any decision is yours, and any discussion of a specific product takes place with a licensed professional, not with us.
How we are compensated
This is the disclosure that matters most, so it is stated plainly.
If you request to speak with someone, MyFederalFuture may introduce you to a state-licensed insurance professional. That professional has paid, or will pay, MyFederalFuture a referral fee for the introduction.
- You are never charged. The readiness check and the TSP Readiness Review are free to you.
- You are never under any obligation — not to take a call, not to remain on one, not to act on anything discussed.
- The professional is independent of MyFederalFuture. They are not our employee, agent, or partner. They are responsible for their own conduct, advice, and recommendations. We do not supervise or control them.
- We are compensated for the introduction, not for any outcome of it. We have a commercial interest in your having a conversation. We have no interest in what you decide at the end of it — including deciding to leave your TSP exactly where it is.
This compensation arrangement is a conflict of interest, and we disclose it on every page rather than in a footnote so that you can weigh what we say accordingly.
No guarantees
Nothing on this site is a guarantee, a promise, or an assurance of any outcome. We publish no return figures, no projections, and no illustrations of future performance. Any general statement about how an option works is a description of its mechanics, not a prediction of what it will do for you.
The "TSP Secure Path" is the name of our educational framework — a way of organising a decision. Despite the name, it is not a product, an account, an investment, a strategy sold to you, or a guarantee of security of any kind. No part of it should be read as promising a particular result.
Individual circumstances vary
Your options and their consequences depend on your own situation — your retirement system, your service, your timeline, your tax picture, your family, and choices only you can weigh. Two federal employees reading the same page here may correctly reach opposite conclusions.
Consult a qualified professional, and consult the official TSP resources at tsp.gov, before making any decision. Some TSP choices are difficult or impossible to reverse.
Testimonials, statistics, and endorsements
We do not publish customer counts, testimonials, press logos, performance statistics, or credentials we cannot stand behind. If you do not see such claims on this site, that is deliberate rather than an oversight.
Third-party links
This site links to third-party sites, including tsp.gov and OPM. Those links are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. A link is not an endorsement, and no link implies any affiliation or endorsement of MyFederalFuture by the linked party.

This site is not part of Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their affiliates, and is not endorsed by them in any way. Facebook and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.
